More on the "Broken Hand"® Story    To the ' Way Back Machine ' Sherman ! !

I guess I might have exagerated just a little. You see, I was talking to Algis Kizys [ sic Of Cabbages and Kings ] at a bar one night and I kind of made up the hammer story thinking it might impress Mr. Kizys.
Well he thought it was great and started calling me "Broken Hand"® and buying me buds with Jack backs.

MAN ! ! was he super pissed when he found out that I had made the story up. I mean a lot of people have made up their own nicknames.

The big fight between Gertrude Stein and Hemingway was over the fact that she refused to call him "Papa", a name which he made up for himself. He would be known to ignore his best friends in a restaurant untill they addressed him with the correct self-appointed nom-de-guarre ! !

If you want to know what I think? I think Mr. Kizys is a " real johnny stuck up" I talked to my publisist and she really liked the idea of me having a nickname. As a matter of fact, it was she that insisted that I register it as a trademark. It just makes good business sense. So there Mr."Nose In The Air " Kizys ! !
